I'm a licensed therapist and coach with over 15 years experience specializing in helping others overcome the junk that gets in the way of living their best lives!
I have a lot of hobbies.
I am obsessed with knitting. I also play guitar and bass, sing in a choir, paint, sew and have run 7 half-marathons.
I love being a sports mom.
You can find me at the softball field, ice skating rink or volleyball or basketball courts.
I'm obsessed with coffee.
Cheap coffee, fancy coffee, ridiculous frothy lattes- I love it all. I start looking forward to my morning coffee the night before.
My story.
I'm a Mom.

A few years ago, I was completely burned out. I had experienced vicarious trauma complete with intrusive thoughts and nightmares.

I was DREADING work. I felt like all I did was work, parent and do chores. There was no "me" left.

I had sought help and was starting to make some positive changes when BAM!
The unthinkable happened.
I felt like my life was thrown in a blender when I was diagnosed with one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer.

Working as a therapist, on chemo, during a pandemic, I had no choice but to put myself first.
I learned how to build self-care into my busy life, to say no to the things that drain me, get my mindset right and find joy even in the tough parts of life.

Today, even though I continue to be monitored closely with regular exams and scans, I am happy to say I am cancer-free, healthy and thriving.

I've been a licensed social worker since 2005 (at the age of 31, after working for 13 years in restaurants and bars!) I worked in agency and hospital jobs, and started my private practice in 2010. I specialize in maternal mental health, birth trauma and EMDR in Worthington, Ohio.

I have a passion for helping moms who work as therapists and helping professionals live without burnout and get their spark back, WITHOUT having to go through what I went through. Moms who work as helpers pour from our cups all day at work and all day at home. It can feel impossible to find time to recharge and refill.
