You already know you should be doing this.
You have the clinical expertise. You have a topic people need. You've probably been thinking about this for longer than you'd like to admit, and every time you sit down to actually do it, the application process swallows you whole. You end up with seventeen browser tabs open, nothing submitted, and a quiet voice in the back of your head saying "I'll figure this out later."
Later keeps becoming never.
The knowledge you've spent years building deserves to reach more people than your current caseload allows. The retreats, the trainings, the courses... they're not a fantasy. They're the next version of your career. And the only thing standing between you and that version is an application process that was genuinely designed to be difficult.
That's not a personal failure. That's just a maze without a map.
The TEA Intensive is your map.
One Day. The whole process. Done.
Here's what you get:
One focused day live on Zoom where we go through the entire application process together. Not a lecture, a working session
A prep worksheet to get everything you need ready before the day so you show up locked and loaded
Access to my entire library of tools, templates, and resources so you're not digging around scrambling to find anything
Review and feedback on your application materials on the day and for 2 weeks after. Because sometimes life happens and you need a little extra time, and that's okay
A spot in the TEA Voxer community for ongoing support from Michelle and fellow TEA graduates long after the day is done
You show up ready to work. I'll take care of the rest.
Here's exactly what we'll tackle together:
Choose the Right Organization: This is the decision most people get wrong before they even start. We'll make sure you choose the right approving body for your goals before you invest a single hour in your application.
Pick a Winning Course Topic: We'll turn your expertise into a topic that's in-demand, CE-approved, and something you're actually excited to teach.
Tackle Your Application: I'll walk you through every section of the confusing application process so you know exactly what's required and how to get it done.
Avoid Common Mistakes: I've seen every "oopsie" in the book. You don't have to make them
Expert Eyes on Your Materials: I'll be in the room with you all day, looking over your documents and making sure they're submission-ready. If there's anything left to finish after the intensive, you have 2 weeks to send it to me.
This is for you if:
You're a licensed therapist who has been thinking about becoming an approved CE provider and you're ready to stop thinking and actually do it
You want to build income that doesn't require adding more sessions to an already full calendar
You've looked at the CE approval process and felt immediately overwhelmed by where to even start
You want someone who knows the fine print inside and out so you don't have to become an expert yourself
You're ready to lock down the day this actually happens. Not someday, not when things calm down, now.
You're pursuing approval through ASWB, NBCC, CAMFT, or one of the state boards (not sure which one? The prep worksheet will help you figure it out before the day)
This may not be a fit for you if:
You're still in the early "maybe someday" stage and not sure if this is a priority
You don't have a business or therapy practice set up yet. A CE provider is a business, not an individual so you need some sort of business structure.
You genuinely don't have ANY bandwidth to follow through on delivering your CE trainings, even an hour a week
You really ONLY want to teach about business-related topics (That's great! Just not necessarily CE-material)
You're looking for APA, NYSED, or other specialized approvals. Those require a more involved process than we can do in one day
You're welcome here as you are: overwhelmed, behind where you thought you'd be, skeptical that one day can actually move the needle. Come anyway. You are exactly who this was built for.
You're in the right place.
Hi! I'm Michelle Risser, and I'm a big ol' nerd about CE requirements so you don't have to be.
I study the fine print on mental health continuing education requirements so I can hand you the clearest, most direct path through the process. That's not a marketing line. I actually do this. I have read the documentation so you don't have to, and I will be in the room with you all day making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
I'm a licensed clinical social worker and practicing therapist with multiple income streams: consulting,
speaking, writing, and yes, teaching CEs. I don't believe in teaching something I'm not actively doing myself. Of all the income streams I've built, becoming a CE provider is consistently the fastest way I've seen therapists add real revenue within their existing practice. No separate business or massive audience required. Just approval and a topic you're already excited to teach.
I've spent years studying CE requirements across every major approving body and helped 770+
therapists get through this process. The one-day intensive is the most efficient way I've ever designed to do it, and I'm genuinely proud of that.
(I'm also a goofball, a married softball mom, avid knitter, and I row with a team of fellow breast cancer survivors. Just so you know who you'll be spending your day with.)

(Spoiler alert: Kara is indeed offering CEs, like a boss at that. She's become a go-to expert for group therapy, women's mental health and wellness and ADHD. In fact, we recently shared a stage as speakers at an exciting event in Las Vegas!)
Here's a look at what's possible for you as an approved CE provider.
Over 770 therapists have gone through my programs. Here's what they've been up to:
Hosting beautiful, seaside and mountain retreats with CEUs attached
Offering approved trainings through their state licensing boards for Social Work, Counseling and MFT
Being approved in 48 states and most of Canada through the ASWB ACE Program
Teaching courses approved by an NASW state chapter as well as at the national level
Offering trainings in lots of fun topics as NBCC providers
Hosting workshops or lunch and learns for organizations
Sponsoring CEs for an amazing summit in Hawaii!
This is the outcome of getting your application done. The intensive is how you get it done in a single day
Frequently Asked Questions:
Which CE approving organizations does the intensive cover?
The TEA One-Day Intensive is designed for therapists pursuing ASWB ACE, NBCC, CAMFT, or state-specific approvals. If you've previously offered CE trainings, we can also work toward provider status with those organizations. Those pathways are well-suited to the one-day format and I know them inside and out.
A few organizations we're not able to cover in this format: APA approval and NYSED require a more complex, involved process that genuinely can't be compressed into a single day without doing you a disservice. If that's your goal, I'd love to help you figure out the right path, just email me at michelle@mrisser.com and we can talk through it.
Not sure which approval is right for you? That's actually one of the first things we tackle in the prep worksheet and on the day together, so come as you are and we'll figure it out.
Do I need to have completed the Diversify Your Income with CEUs Course?
No! It's included in the TEA Intensive! You will get the full course, in fact you'll have access to ALL of my courses, tools and templates! We'll go through the process of planning, building, filling (marketing), and delivering your CE course together in one day.
Do I have to have a topic figured out?
No, this is something we will work on together. If you do already have a topic in mind, that's great too. CE approving organizations have specific criteria about what topics are allowed, so we'll make sure yours fits the bill AND is something you are excited to teach.
Can I bring my business partner, or send someone else in my place?
YES!! This is one of the most common questions I get. If you have a business partner or someone who is helping with your CEs, yes you can bring them at no additional cost! Just email me their email address so I know who to expect on the day.
You can also send your VA, your assistant, or your sister-in-law who is off for the summer and helping you out in your place! Just make sure whoever it is knows your area of expertise, your goals, and has access to everything in the prep checklist I'll send you a couple of weeks prior. They also need a way to get in touch with you during the intensive so they don't get stuck.
We'll meet over Zoom on the day you signed up for from 9am-4pm EDT, with a lunch break. We'll go through each step, then cowork together with me in the background looking over all of your materials and answering your questions. If there's anything you need to finish up, you have 2 weeks to send it to me for feedback.
What if I've already started my application?
Bring what you have and we'll work through it together. A lot of people come in with a partial application that's been sitting untouched for months. That's exactly what this day is designed to fix.
What if I have questions after the intensive?
I'll be here to answer them! Seriously, I won't leave you hanging. You'll have 2 weeks to send me any materials you'd like me to review, but you can ask me questions anytime. You'll also be added to the TEA Voxer chat where you can ask for support from fellow TEA grads!
It's ONE day with a very specific goal- get your CE training planned and your application ready to submit. Not months and months in a membership you forgot you joined. Not a too-big program that drags on for a year. In and out. Badda Bing, Badda Boom.

You've been thinking about this long enough.
The application process is not going to get less confusing on its own. Your expertise is not going to become less valuable while you wait. And "when things slow down" is not coming. You know that as well as I do.
This intensive is one day. One focused, guided, let's-actually-get-this-done day where you stop thinking about becoming a CE provider and start being one.
I care a lot more about you making the right decision than filling every spot. But if this is the right decision for you (and you know whether it is) I'd love to see you there.

Need to change your plans? Full refunds available up to 7 days prior to your chosen date, or transfer your spot to a future cohort anytime. Just email michelle@mrisser.com.
All of that came from the Academy And had I not joined it, I really feel confident that none of that would be happening.
