This course teaches the basics of knitting as a tool to reduce stress and achieve a greater sense of calm and relaxation.

 

Students will get step-by-step instruction on the basic techniques of knitting including:

  • Casting on
  • Knit and purl stitch
  • Binding off
  • Knitting in the round
  • Choosing materials

By the end of this course, students will have gained the skills they need to knit a simple scarf or hat. More importantly, they will be on their way to a life-long love affair with knitting as a form of self-care, stress reduction, creativity, expression, and accomplishment!

 

 

Michelle Risser does a lot of things.

 

She’s a mom, a licensed therapist, a consultant, coach, educator and writer….. but most of all she loves to knit. 

 

Michelle can be found knitting at home, in the car, at the softball field, in conferences and on planes. You might say she’s obsessed. But for good reason!
